Center Honored as "Age-Friendly Business"

Wednesday, December 10, the Center for Nonprofit Advancement was honored by the Age-Friendly DC Initiative, Mayor Vincent Gray and the Washington, DC Economic Partnership as being an "age-friendly business" in DC. The ceremony took place during the rollout of the Age-Friendly DC Strategic Plan.

Age Friendly DC is "A coordinated, comprehensive, and collective-action effort whose goal is to ensure that all DC residents are active, connected, healthy, engaged and happy in their environment. The District’s Age-Friendly effort is starting with a focus on adults age 50 and older."

The Strategic Plan is part of the Mayor's goal for Washingtonbecome designated as an Age-Friendly City by the World Health Organization's Age-Friendly Environments Programme.
