Delivering invaluable support and expertise
Formed in 1979, the Center for Nonprofit Advancement is the nation's first association for nonprofits and is the leading advocate and service provider for nonprofit organizations based in the Greater Washington, D.C. area and state of Virginia. The Center has developed an extensive, national network of support, encompassing nonprofits, businesses, consultants and government agencies.

Working with our members for more than three decades, we know well the tough challenges in sustaining a nonprofit, developing a board of directors, funding programs, and most importantly, ensuring missions are fulfilled.

By bringing nonprofits together, we make them stronger. With the advantage of shared resources, broader expertise and essential tools to build success, our members effectively overcome today’s challenges and position their organizations for a sustainable future.
